Rogers County Chapter 44 is serving veterans from around the NE Oklahoma area. You don't have to live in Rogers County to join us or even be disabled. You just have to have a DD 214 and want to contribute you talents to our chapter. Our goal is helping all veterans in obtaining their VA benefits. Our Chapter has more than 260 members with 30+ attending our monthly meetings. Pot luck dinner starts at 6 PM and the meeting starts at 7 PM. Be there or be square!
Decline in Homelessness Among Veterans:
According to the VA and the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, the number of homeless veterans in our nation dropped nearly 12% between January 2010 and January 2011.
A supplement to the departments’ 2011 Annual Homeless Assessment Report estimates there were 67,495 veterans without homes on a single night in January, 2011.
